Abstract

A decorative candle is made by casting a material which is transparent or translucent and incombustible when set to form a casing and then introducing into the casing molten wax and a wick. The casing may consist of 55% by weight paraffin wax, 25% crude oil with a paraffin base, 6% TiO2, 6% CaCO3 and 8% polyethylene. The molten wax mixture may comprise 60% by weight paraffin wax, 35% stearic acid and 5% beeswax. The candle may be shaped as a flower-pot, or vase.
