Abstract
1,107,827. Excess current protection in interconnected A.C. networks. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 29 June, 1965 [29 June, 1964], No. 27532/65. Heading H2H. The interconnecting link between two A.C. networks of the same frequency comprises inductive and capacitive reactances in series of such values as to be resonant at the network frequency and normal current flow, at least a part of one or other, or both, of the reactances being short circuited under heavy current conditions to limit the current flow in the link. The short circuiting means may be a spark gap or an assembly of alternate spark gaps and non-linear resistors.
