Abstract

A material, the electrical resistance of which decreases on compression, is made by mixing equal weights of colloidal silver and a liquid silicone rubber precursor and solidifying the mixture with a curing agent. The silver may be of 5-100 microns particle size. The silver-liquid mixture may be allowed to stand and optionally exposed to a vacuum to remove entrapped air bubbles. It may then be cured in a mould.
