Abstract

In a correspondence control system including a control potentiometer RV1 and a feedback potentiometer RV2, transistors VT1, VT2 are connected so that, when the slider of RV1 is moved, the base of VT2 and the emitter of VT1 are positively (or negatively) biased. If the bias is positive VT1 conducts and relay RH is actuated through transistor VT3, while a negative bias causes VT2 and VT4 to conduct sufficiently to actuate relay RL. The motor 1 is thus driven in the appropriate direction to rebalance the system. The sensitivity of the system in either or both directions may be varied by changing the value of R4 or R6, or by changing the forward bias on VT3 or VT4 to change the standing current through the relay coils.
