A boiler unit comprises a boiler 10 having an inner casing 9 which with boiler controls is enclosed in a further weatherproof casing 11 providing a working space 12 at the front of the boiler. In the space 12, all the boiler controls as well as gauges and auxiliaries such as feed passages are located. A ventilating fan 17 is provided above the space 12 and an inlet 16 in the rear of the casing 11 admits air for preheating between the casings 9 and 11. Connections such as 15 are provided for the water arid fuel feedlines and for a drain pipe.
