Abstract
1,105,349. Linkwork. L. F. BLATT. 14 Nov., 1966, No. 50869/66. Heading F2K. A carriage 10 is reciprocated by linkwork comprising a link 26 having one end secured to a driving shaft 24 and carrying at its other end a shaft 32 to which are secured a sprocket 30 and one end of a link 36 which is connected at its other end to the carriage 10. The sprocket 30 has a pitch diameter one half of that of a stationary sprocket 22 concentrically mounted on the driving shaft 24, and the sprockets 22, 30 are connected by a chain 40. The links 26, 36 are of equal length which is one-quarter the stroke of the carriage 10. Adjustable rollers support the carriage 10 on a pair of parallel fixed guide rails. Driving shaft 24 is connected to an electric or hydraulic motor 18 through a gear reduction unit 20.
