Abstract

1,103,013. Pump packing. BERGEDORFER EISENWERK G.m.b.H. ASTRAWERKE. 13 Sept., 1966 [14 Sept., 1965], No. 40748/66. Heading F2B. A packing 5 is prevented from moving radially by a pump housing and serves to support the plunger 3, an abutment 6 for the packing being arranged to fit closely around the plunger and move radially within the housing. The packing is held in place by a spring 8. A metal ring 7 prevents the packing from entering the clearance between the abutment and the housing.
