Abstract

1,101,787. Valves. M. GMUR. 11 March, 1966 [11 March, 1965], No. 10856/66. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F4] In a boiler for alternative and simultaneous combustion of solid and liquid fuels valve parts 1, 1a pivotally mounted on a door plate 4 are provided to seal off the oil burner when only solid fuel is used. The valve parts are operated by a linkage 13, 15, 15a, upon rotation of a shaft 10. The shaft may be driven by an electric motor or hydraulic driving means or by a manual device. The valve could be in several parts in the form of an iris diaphragm. A boiler thermostat may control movement of the valve assembly.
