Abstract

1,099,747. Winch devices. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. June 30, 1966 [July 13, 1965], No. 29450/66. Heading B8B. [Also in Divisions F2 and G6] A winch 42, from which is suspended a neutron absorbent rod 26 for a reactor, is rotated by a combined motor, reduction gear and brake 44. The said gear drives a plate 50 rotatable in an inner rim 56 of a part 16, and bearing an eccentric crank-pin 54 rotating in a sleeve 58. The base of the sleeve 58 is mounted in a bearing 62 borne by a second plate 60. The bearing 62 is eccentric with respect to a vertical shaft 64 borne by the plate 60 and is rotatable in a transverse partition 65 of the top part 16. Beneath the partition 65 a gearwheel 68 is secured to the shaft 64 and meshes with a gear-wheel 70 driving the winch 42. The transmission is sealed in bellows 66. The winch drum moves axially during rotation to hold the rod-supporting cable 36 in the same lateral position.
