Abstract

1,099,523. Door &c. panels. LIFETIME DOOR CO. OF MICHIGAN. Feb. 5, 1965, No. 5016/65. Heading E1J. A door or partition panel includes a frame 16, 18, a core composed of solid elongate rectangular lumber members 10 of uniform thickness and varying lengths bonded together to form a solid rectangular core, having a thickness less than that of the frame, a pair of rectangular sheets of corrugated cardboard 14, bonded at the opposite faces to sheets 17 and the whole bonded to the core 10, the sheets 14 - 17 being of such uncompressed thickness sufficient to bring the total thickness of the core to a dimension which exceeds the thickness of the frame, and a pair of outer plywood panels 20 having outer dimensions similar to the frame bonded to the frame faces so as to compress the core. The sheets 14, 17 are impregnated with a water-proofing resin.
