Abstract

1,098,406. Windscreen wipers. L. A. KOK. June 3, 1965, No. 23683/65. Heading A4F. A windscreen wiper comprises a horizontal wiper blade 2 which is connected at its mid point to a steel spring belt 3, and mechanism is provided for vertically reciprocating the belt 3 and thereby the blade 2. An electric motor 6 drives through gearing a pinion 4, the teeth of which engage successively in holes in the belt 3 to drive the latter. Projections M, N on the belt 3 operate mechanism J. K to actuate a changeover switch 7 to cause the motor 6 to rotate alternately in opposite directions.
