Abstract

1,097,931. Ammunition cartridges. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. Jan. 7, 1965 [Jan. 8, 1964], No. 835/65. Heading F3A. A propellent cartridge for insertion in the tail end of a mortar projectile comprises a cylindrical tube 1 having an integral closure 3 at one end and a primer-housing base 2 positively engaging in the open end of the tube 1, both tube and base being made of synthetic plastics material. The base 2 and the tube 1 are provided with interlocking grooves 5 and ribs 6. In addition the base and/or the exterior of the tube has a resilient flange or flanges 7, 9 to give frictional pressure against the bore 8 of the projectile.
