Abstract

1,096,819. Crystal oscillator circuits. G. CEPPI. March 4, 1965 [March 4, 1964], No. 9355/65. Addition to 1,023,669. Heading H3T. [Also in Divisions G3 and H2] The oscillator of the prior Specification is incorporated in a timepiece in which the two crystals 6, 7 of the oscillator have the shape of elongated blades. One crystal, 7, drives a gear train 3 through a ratchet wheel. The blades are parallel and located in the plane of the gear train. The blades are coupled through an adjustable rider 14 and held in an insulating block 8 by a clamp 11. A metal film coating 10 on the blades forms electrodes. The driving pawl 15 is flexible and executes sub-harmonic vibrations of which a pallet 17 constitutes a node which moves longitudinally to drive the ratchet wheel.
