Abstract

[Also in Division G1] The charge on a capacitor 6 representative of the dose of neutrons used in activation analysis is measured by discharging the capacitor with pulses from a clock-pulse generator 19 and counting the number of pulses used on a scale connected to lead 20. When the charge on capacitor 6 is reduced to zero, the base potential of transistor 12 is zero, and the latter conducts to terminate transmission of pulses to the sealer. The measurement may be started while capacitor 6 is still being charged, and continues until the capacitor is discharged.
