Abstract

1,093,365. Cooling liquids. DITCHBURN VENDING MACHINES Ltd. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 7, 1963], No. 31103/63. Heading F4H. A liquid to be dispensed is passed through a pipe immersed in water and means are provided for maintaining a predetermined quantity of ice in the water. As shown, the liquid is passed through serially connected helical coils 12, 13 disposed in a water tank 10 which also contains an evaporator coil 11. A temperature responsive device 16 disposed adjacent the evaporator controls a switch 19 for cycling the compressor 43 to maintain a predetermined thickness of ice on the evaporator. An agitator 15 is disposed within the upper part of coil 13. The cooled liquid from the outlet of coil 13 is passed to a dispensing point either directly or via a car bonating vessel disposed within tank 10 (Fig. 2, not shown). Flavouring is supplied to the disperning point from storage vessels via tubes extending through tank 10.
