Abstract

1,091,205. Reinforcing rod spacer and suspended ceiling hanger support. NEOLITH Ltd. Feb. 1, 1965 [Feb. 1, 1964], No. 4385/64. Heading E1W. A reinforcing rod spacer comprises a slotted upper portion 10 adapted to receive a reinforcing rod 17, and a lower foot portion 11 which may be bent down after the poured concrete has set and which is formed to provide attachment means for a suspended ceiling hanger. In one modification the foot 11 is fixed to shuttering by a nail 16, and adherence to the concrete is prevented by a felt pad 15. In another modification. Fig. 4 (not shown) the device has a neck portion adapted to be received between the flanges of hollow wood-wool cement formers.
