Abstract

1,090,759. Pallets for handling loads. STUDFAST PALLETS Ltd. Feb. 8, 1965 [Nov. 7, 1963], No. 43951/63. Heading B8H. A nestable pallet comprises a one-piece sheet form plastics moulding with five rows 10 of open-topped cells with three cells 11, 12, 13 in each row. The floors 15 of the cells present a lower decking area about equal to the upper bearing area presented by four flat topped ribs 16 with a peripheral region 17. A single pair of parallel throughways 20, Fig. 3 (not shown), is provided. Fig. 5 illustrates a modification wherein the region 17 is joggled at 29 to provide a recess 30 to receive a separate decking sheet 31 flush with the top surface of the outermost surrounding portion of the region 17 framing the recess 30. Additional throughways may be provided to give a four-entry pallet.
