Toothed gearing; conveying rotary motion.-Relates to means for driving valve shafts of V-type internal-combustion engines in which two radial shafts in the same plane are driven from a central shaft perpendicular to them. One of the radial valve shafts 4 is driven from the central crankshaft 3 by gearing 5, 6, and the second shaft 4 is driven by the gearing 7. In an alternative form, the bevel-wheel 6 is fixed on an intermediate shaft, parallel to the shaft 3 and geared to it by spur or chain gearing.
