Abstract
In a cheese mould of the type disclosed in Specifications 997,032 and 881,992 comprising an outer mould portion and a detachable inner split mould portion or shell, the shell is strengthened by being comprised of two juxtaposed and rigidly interconnected plates having intermediate evenly distributed shallow protuberances projecting from at least one of the plates, and of which plates at least the one facing the interior of the mould is finely perforated. The two plates are cylindrical, are spot welded together at the top and bottom and are welded to a reinforcing ring at the top. Preferably the inner of the two plates is both perforated and embossed with protuberances, and the outer plate is smooth and unperforated.
