Abstract

1,080,810. Valves. H. D. HUDSON MANUFACTURING CO. May 13, 1965 [May 15, 1964; Jan. 11,1965 (2)]. No. 20349/65. Heading F2V. A control valve for an agricultural spraying apparatus comprises an inlet 24 and an outlet 34, a closure member 38 adapted to seat at 36 and actuated by a lever 46 and spring 40. The lever 46 is connected to a valve spindle through a U-shaped fitting 58 which permits the lever to be shifted between two extreme positions with lost motion, and provides for actuation of the spindle in the same direction upon movement of the lever past either of the extreme positions. The outermost end of the spindle is supported in a bush 42 to prevent a seal 42a from being subjected to lateral thrust.
