Abstract
1,080,544. Ammunition hoisting apparatus. BOFORS A.B. Nov. 24, 1964 [Nov. 29, 1963], No. 47813/64. Heading F3C. A hoisting device for conveying cartridges from a magazine of an automatic gun to a loading position in alignment with the barrel includes a cartridge support means 11 adapted to move from a lower position in which a cartridge emerging from the magazine exit is deposited thereon to an upper position in which a rammer pushes the cartridge off the support 11 and along a guide into the breech. The support 11 is pivoted at 10 to a two-armed lever 16, 17 pivotally attached at 18 and 23 to first and second lever beams 22, 25 which in turn are pivoted at 21, 27 to a support plate 7 rigid with the magazine and below the exit thereof. Driving means in the form of a hydraulic pistoncylinder device 30 acts on the lever beam 25 to pivot the members 22, 25, 16, 17 and thereby raise and lower the support 11. In order to keep the support 11 in a desired position during the raising and lowering thereof the support is pivotally attached at 41 to a link 40 the other end of which is pivoted at 42 to the beam 22.
