Abstract
<PICT:1080232/C4-C5/1> A heat exchanger for evaporating liquefied gas such as methane, comprises a cylindrical furnace chamber 10, and a single row of series or parallel connected vertical finned tubes 13 which are subject to the radiant heat of one or more burners 12. Liquified gas enters at the point 25 and the vapours and gases produced pass from the radiant heat section to a further heating coil 16, over which the combustion gases pass, and leave the heat exchanger at the point 26.
