Securing winding- drums on shafts.-Winding. drums of cargo winches &c. are mounted so at to be readily removed by means of bosses B in halves secured by bolts D to the shaft H and flanges C on the bosses to which the drum A is secured by bolts E. The boss B may be in one piece with a split at one side and nipped to the shaft H by a bolt.
