Abstract

A weft clamp engages a weft (28) with a pliers-like action One jaw of the clamp is fixed and the other is moved by a cam (25). Two halves (17, 23) of a lever (18) rockable on a spindle (19) are interconnected by a helical spring to give the clamp resiliency. A second helical spring keeps a roller (24) on the lever (18) in contact with the cam (25).
