A seat is supported on a part 20 connected by arms 30, 40 of a parallel linkage to a part 10. The height of the seat is adjustable by a double arm lever 60 provided with several orifices 61 through any one of which a pin may be passed to engage an orifice 12 in part 10. A rubber spring element 50 has an arm 52 secured in one of several recesses 62 on the lever 60. The spring element 50 engages a projection 31 on arm 30.
