Abstract

A system for controlling both bounce and pitch-type vibrations at the articulated connection of a tractor-trailer combination includes a bracket 30 connected by a vertical pivot 20 to the gooseneck 18 and by links 31, 32 to an A-frame 34 pivoted by pins 35, 35<SP>1</SP> to the tractor frame, vertical movement between tractor and bracket being cushioned by a hydraulic cylinder 36 in circuit with a pair of accumulators 38 which can be cut out by means of a valve controlled by a lever 41.
