Abstract

1,075,697. Dispensing containers. SOCIETE PARISIENNE D EXPANSION CHIMIQUE S.P.E.C.I.A. May 11, 1965 [May 14, 1964], No. 19881/65. Heading B8P. A dispensing container comprises a lid 1 and a base 2, the lid or the base having a partition 7 integral with it and a dispensing member 3 slidably mounted between the partition 3 and an outer wall of the container with a pill receiving recess 9 which is aligned with a gap 14 in the partition 7. The recess 9 houses only one pill at a time which is dispensed by the member 3 when the member is slid out of the container by means of a button 5. The member 3 also has a compartment 8 which may contain absorbent material, e.g. silica gel. The dispensing container may be triangular, segment-shaped or circular, Figs. 3, 4 and 5 (not shown). Adhesive tape may be wound round the container. A protuberance 16 may be provided to detect tampering. The container parts may be moulded from plastics, e.g. polystyrene.
