Abstract

1,075,538. Visible signalling apparatus. PINTSCH BAMAG A.G. Oct. 20, 1964 [Dec. 5, 1963], No. 42650/64. Heading G4F. A system for producing repeatedly a waveform C having a first part consisting of a sequence of regularly occurring pulses and a second part consisting of a space equal in duration to an integral multiple of the period (mark time plus space time) of the pulses in the first part, comprises an oscillator 1, Fig. 2, which, by means of a dividing counter 2 and a diode unit 4, produces a train of pulses X 1 of the appropriate period and mark/space ratio that is required for the pulses occurring during the first portion of the waveform, and a second dividing counter 3 and diode unit 5 which produce a train of pulses X 2 having a period (mark time plus space time') equal to the duration of the waveform C being produced, and a mark/space ratio such that the appropriate number of pulses X 1 are inhibited 8 to produce the space which constitutes the second part of thewaveform. Both diode units could be in the form of plugs so that the waveform. can be changed readily and the circuit is said to be particularly applicable to the control of lighted navigational buoys.
