Abstract

1,074,418. Sound-and-picture apparatus. NATIONAL SALES INCENTIVES Ltd. Feb. 23, 1966 [May 25, 1965], No. 7877/66. Heading G5K. [Also in Division G2] A sound synchronized slide projector has an open-ended housing 10 with a rear projection screen 11 from which a sliding frame 14 bearing a slide projector and a disc record player 47 is telescopically withdrawn to a stop position wherein the projector is focused on the screen. The projector has an extruded aluminium housing (22), as in Fig. 7 (not shown), with heatradiating fins (23) and notched at (24), (25) to receive lens plates (28), (29). Lamp (32) has a back reflector (33) in rear wall (34). Slides (38, 39, 40) are mounted in carrier (37a) as in Fig, 3 (not shown) having ratchet fingers (41, 42, 43) which are engaged, for indexing, by arm (46) rotated at 4 r.p.m. by motor (44), the slide dwell period being four times the shift period. Focusing adjustment is provided. Turntable 49 is driven by an electric motor (51) in parallel with motor (44), as in Fig. 4 (not shown), through the control of radially movable contact (55) on tone arm (56).
