Abstract

1,073,340. Identifying cores. R. & E. HUBER, SCHWEIZISCHE KABEL-, DRAHT- und GUMMIWERKE, A.G. Jan. 5, 1966 [Jan. 12, 1965], No. 536/60. Heading H1A. Rubber or plastic insulated cores are identified by a sleeve of plastic tape wound on spirally, and carrying identifying symbols on its inner surface. Various substances are suggested for the tape but fluoro-hydrocarbons are preferable because of their low friction coefficient. After winding, the tape is thermally formed into a continuous sheath.
