Abstract

In an edge filter of the kind in which spoked discs alternate with spoked rimless spacers, all mounted non-rotatably on a p rotatable shaft, and in which scraper blades fixed to rods protrude between adjacent discs, there are provided guide rods which, together with the scraper - mounting rods, extend through annular guide plates, which, associated with spoked end plates, are located one at each end of the pack. Each scraper-mounting rod is located in advance, (relative to the direction of pack rotation), of each guide rod, and the clearance between the guide rod and the preceding scraper blades at any one location amounts to no more than five times the radial distance between the guide rod and the periphery of the filter pack.
