Abstract
An alloy comprises 50-80% of tungsten carbide, at least 90% of which is in the form of cast tungsten carbide particles having an angular configuration, the balance being an alloy matrix based on iron, nickel, cobalt or copper. The alloy may be used as a particularly wear resistant hard facing composition.
