Abstract

1,069,652. Bottle washing machines. HOLSTEIN & KAPPERT MASCHINENFABRIK " PHOENIX " G.m.b.H. Jan. 26, 1965 [Jan. 28, 1964], No. 3330/65. Heading B8T. The opposed open ends of bottle-containing compartments 2 of a bottle crate are sealed during bottle spraying by plates 4 and centring devices 3 attached to a support 7 and a spray collecting tray 6 respectively. Spray, which may be an acid, is fed into the compartments through central passages in the devices 3. The support and tray are attached to guide rods 9 sliding in slots in the machine frame sides, and are brought towards or moved away from the compartments to seal or unseal them by a hydraulic motor 16 and a linkage 12, 13.
