Abstract

Pasta, from which a soup may be prepared by treating with boiling water, is prepared by making a soup-forming mixture which includes meat and/or vegetable extract, monosodium glutamate, and one or more flavouring agents, adding this mixture to the pasta flour before or during kneading, and forming into known pasta shapes. Other ingredients which may be added include edible fats, salt, potato flour, starch, lactose, sugar, pulverized onion, celery seed or root, tomato, mushroom, and asparagus powders, turmeric, chicken meat, saccharose, and spices.
