Abstract
A cathode for electrolytic machining has a working end portion including an electrically conductive inner portion 16, e.g. a titanium tube, externally coated with a dielectric material 14, e.g. P.T.F.E., and an uncharged outer metallic portion 12, e.g. of titanium electrodeposited on a silver flash, encasing the outer surface of the dielectric coating at least at the working end portion 18 and electrically insulated from the inner portion. <PICT:1065145/C6-C7/1>
