A vehicle having a body 10 for receiving charges of compressed material from a static press and/or for receiving loose material has a rear door 34 and loading opening 20 in its top. The body can be discharged or charged with compressed loads through the rear door while loose material is fed through the opening 20 which is framed by box beams 15, 16 and closed by doors 21 operated by an hydraulic cylinder, or by sliding doors. A bulkhead 24 movable by a ram 31 can be used to discharge the body through the rear door. The body has a semicylindrical bottom wall and flat side walls of a height not less than the radius of the semicircle.
