Abstract

In a shuttleless loom wherein more than one weft (15) may be selected for simultaneous picking the loom is stopped if any one selected weft breaks. Upon selection guides (3) are moved downwardly so that contacts (7) ride in L shaped slots (8) and the tension of the wefts turn the guides against the action of springs (16). If a weft breaks the spring (16) pivots the guide (3) and the contact (7) completes a circuit with a plate (11) to stop the loom.
