Abstract

[Also in Division E1] Hollow fence laths of synthetic plastics material are clamped together by a clamping member 28 provided with a head and the shank whereof passes through one of the laths 26 and through one of the walls of the other lath 27 and is provided with an axially directed slot 29 and a hook shaped projecting end 28a at the other end. A headed retaining member 30 may additionally be inserted through the opposite wall of lath 27, the end whereof is a force fit into the slot 29. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown), a clamping member is provided with a bored shank, and spring action arms which engage the adjacent wall of the other lath.
