Abstract

1,059,720. Converting. FERNSEH G.m.b.H. Oct. 14, 1965 [Oct. 15, 1964], No. 43663/65. Heading H2F. [Also in Division G3] A stabilized H.T. voltage at an output terminal UH is derived from a secondary winding 5 of a television line-scan transformer by way of a rectifier 6, the winding 5 being also connected to the secondary winding 10 of an auxiliary transformer having its primary winding 9 supplied by way of a switching transistor 11 from a further secondary winding 7 of the line scan transformer, which further winding 7 also supplies the deflector coils 8 of the television set. A control voltage derived from a voltage divider 12, 12a and proportional to the H.T. output voltage is applied to the base of transistor 11. The arrangement is such that transistor 11 is rendered conductive when the H.T. output voltage falls below a predetermined value; a current-pulse then flows in winding 9, producing in winding 10 a corresponding voltage pulse which is added to the voltage of winding 5 whereby the output at terminal UH is restored to its original value. Transistor 11 thus operates in a switching mode to stabilize the H.T. output of the line scan transformer. The winding 10 may be associated with a voltagemultiplier circuit, and the control signal may be applied to the base of transistor 11 by way of further amplifying transistors (Fig. 2, not shown).
