Abstract

105,964. Hounsfield, L. H. May 3, 1916. Detachable-rim attachments to wheels.-In wheels of the kind having the disks made of comparatively thin conical metal sheets strained radially when in use. the peripheries of the two disks A are attached permanently to a single ring X, Figs. 1 and 2, or they are attached directly to one another, as shown in Fig. 3. The radial strain is obtained means of conical surfaces N, Figs. 1 and 2, and bolts M; or by means of taper pins O, Fig. 3, and bolts P; or by means of radial bolts Q, Fig. 4, and taper pins.
