Abstract

1,056,856. Construction of storage hopper. W. L. BARROW. Oct. 25, 1963 [Oct. 27, 1962], No. 40707/62. Heading B8S. A hopper 50 is made of vertical sides 10, a tapered sloping bottom 4, an upper sloping front 7 and vertical convergent sides 8, and is supported on a framework 1 and provided with a partition 3 to divide the hopper into two parts. The two hopper parts are each provided with a discharge outlet 5 (not shown) at their lowest point. The sides are made of triangles, as shown, for aid of construction and the sloping bottom 4 and the front 7 are made to slope at the same angle so that two such hopper units may be positioned one behind the other. The sides may be extended upwards.
