Abstract

1,055,654. Alarm clocks. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. April 14, 1964 [May 13, 1963], No. 15449/64. Heading G3T. In an alarm clock adapted to operate in singlestroke fashion, a flexible arm 18, carrying the alarm hammer 22 which strikes a bell 24, is damped by a leaf spring 36 arranged to bear frictionally on a bent-over part 38 of the arm to suppress spurious strokes. The hammer is operated by an indented cam wheel engaging a projection on the arm.
