1,054,523. Obtaining insulin. VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT EXPERIMENTALNOI ENDOKRINOLOGII. Oct. 25, 1965, No. 45009/65. Heading A5B. Crystalline insulin is obtained by adsorbing the insulin contained in an aqueous aqueousalcoholic or aqueous-actetone extract of pancreas at a pH above 7.4 or below 3.5 on a sulphonated cation exchange resin, selectively eluting the insulin with an alkaline aqueous/ acetone solution and treating the eluate in conventional manner to obtain crystalline insulin by fractional crystallization.
