Abstract
1,051,994. Producing composite sheet metal. DEUTSCHE GOLD-UND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT. Jan. 26, 1965, No. 3401/65. Heading B3A. A sheet of titanium is pickled in a solution which is at least 10 normal in H<SP>+</SP> ions and in Clions, until a dark grey layer is formed. After flushing the sheet is dried and a sheet of platinum is rolled on to it with a reduction of thickness of at least 25%. Finally the sheet may be annealed. The pickling solution is preferably concentrated hydrochloric acid.
