Abstract
1,051,710. Delivering measured quantities of liquid. DANFOSS A.S. Nov. 17, 1965 [Dec. 15, 1964], No. 48800/65. Heading B8N. A device for dispensing measured quantities of liquid comprises a piston 2 freely movable in a cylinder 1, each end of the cylinder being connected by a respective inlet valve 7, 8 to an inlet pipe 6 and by a respective outlet valve 9, 10 to an outlet pipe 11, such that an inlet valve associated with one end of the cylinder and an outlet valve associated with the other end of the cylinder are automatically opened or closed and the two remaining valves closed or opened respectively according to whether the piston is in one or the other of two predetermined positions. The valves are all actuated by solenoids under the control of magnetic sensors 20, 21, the positioning of which determine the quantity dispensed. The liquid 16 is supplied from a pressurized container 5.
