Abstract
1,049,850. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Oct. 15, 1965 [Oct. 16, 1964], No. 43705/65. Heading G3P. A device for regulating the angle of a swashplate of a pump 10 in accordance with the delivery pressure comprises a balance beam 49, pivoted at 50 and subjected to an adjustable loading spring 52 and the outlet pressure acting on a valve 30. The valve is located in a transverse bore of a piston member 24 whose smaller fuse 27 is subjected to pump outlet pressure while the larger fuse 26 is connected to pump outlet or exhaust under the control of valve 30. In operation, if the delivery pressure increases, the valve 30 rises and rotates the beam 49 and outlet pressure flows through bore 38 of piston thusmoving the piston to the right to reduce the pump displacement. This movement of the piston reduces the moment applied to the beam 49 by the valve 30 and the spring 52 this acts to recentre the valve. The valve 30 may act on the beam 49 through a second lever. In a modification, a second valve subject to outlet pressure opens to move the piston to zero pump displacement at a predetermined pressure. In a further modification the valve controlling the piston 24 may be a rotary valve at the pivot 50.
