1,045,983. Extrusion-blow moulding. UNION CARBIDE CORPORATION. Jan. 17, 1964 [Jan. 29, 1963; Feb. 12, 1963], No. 2108/64. Heading B5A. In an extrusion-blow moulding machine an extruder feeds a tubing die the extrudate from which is gripped by gripping means and severed by a knife and is fed downwardly by the gripping means to one of a series of moulds on an indexing table. In one example the cutting edge 32 of the knife 20, Fig. 3, contacts the face of the extruder die.
