Abstract
1,043,710. Telephone intercommunication systems. HADLEY TELEPHONE & SOUND SYSTEMS Ltd. Nov. 25, 1963 [Nov. 24, 1962], No. 44528/62. Heading H4K. A master-slave intercommunication system includes a separate cold cathode trigger tube or thyratron V and a pair of contacts E1, E2 for each slave circuit. The tubes V are mounted in the housing of the master unit so as to be visible, their luminosity then indicating when they are conductive. A circuit to a slave unit is completed by the operator bridging the corresponding contacts E1, E2 with his finger, and is subsequently broken by opening switch S2. The master unit can be called from a slave unit by opening switch S1 momentarily, amplifier A being reversible so that the master loud-speaker can act either as an audio-to-electrical or an electrical-to-audio transducer.
