[Also in Division A2] In a sausage skin package as set forth in the parent Specification, a layer of plastic, for example polythene, is provided between the length or lengths of sausage skin and the rigid rod or tube. The plastic layer may be in the form of a thin tube which is readily slidable on the rod or tube, and may be removable from the rod or tube with the skin. If there is more than one length of skin, desirably the plastic layer is in a corresponding number of sections.
