Abstract

1,043,021. Pistons. CROSS MANUFACTURING CO. (1938) Ltd. Feb. 1, 1965, No. 4279/65. Heading F2T. An aluminium alloy piston 1 comprises a pair of gudgeon-pin bearing blocks 4, 4 detachably secured, as by bolts 9, to platforms 11 formed by local thickening on the underside of the piston crown 3. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the blocks are connected to the crown by studs.
